As previously stated, my lovely sis flew over the sea with a suitcase FULL of stuff for me - and only about 1 change of clothes for herself for a week!

She brought me shake and bake, tylenol, dayquil, nyquil (I love American drugs), bubbles for work, cake mix for my party and best of all...Kraft Mac N Cheese in assorted flavours.

It will blow my WW points but I'll save em up especially. NOTHING like a bowl of bright orange synthetically cheesy stodge to make you smmmmmile!

The day I've been waiting for arrives...my amazing sister is here! For my birthday and to thoroughly spoil my children (and me).

She has infinite patience. My children worship her. She babysits them to enable me to run about doing fun things. She cleans my kitchen. She brings me amazing stuff from America (more on the next pic) and I love love love my big sis!

My wonderful friend Lynda not only makes the best cakes in the world (www.scrummycakes.co.uk) but she also teaches the cupcake workshops. I did one myself this evening but instead of photographing my efforts, I have to showcase my early birthday present from Lynda. Adorable edible cookie handbags - with my name in sparkly glitter. What more could a girl want!

Oscar's cupcake decorating class went very well - he loved it....and loved sampling his efforts! Everything was pink - of course - and covered in glitter! Hoorah!

Little known fact - edible glitter is in fact indigestible so you can actually make people have glittery poo! Utterly fabulous!

Pearl, Suzanna and I went off on a jolly trip to Olympia to the HyperJapan Festival. Luckily we got in early and Suzanna, using her beautiful charms, managed to blag a free ticket when there were NONE to be had. (she's amazing).

It was great - not amazing but great. Had Takoyaki and YakiUdon, saw lots of mad people dressed up in Cosplay. Looked around a lot and bought some lovely bowls

It was just lovely to be with two good friends in a good place! Thank you girlies.....

This was another highlight of my birthday coming up....next stop is my sister arriving on Thursday!

My wonderful friend Suzanna invited us round to cook sushi at her house to celebrate the last day of term.

As you can see we had a BLAST making it - prawn tempura sushi and crab maki, with some smoked salmon nigiri.

Suzanna is a master chef and so generous with her talent! Eliane and I learnt how to roll and also stuffed our faces.

Truly blessed to have such good friends who share my obsessive love of sushi!!!

One of my oldest and bestest friends can't make my party on Saturday 30th...so she came down from Canterbury on Thursday and took me out to lunch - my pick - Dim Sum at Crispy Duck. I love her so much! We had a blast....and will do this more often from September when I'm free to lunch without picking up small people!

But not just any biscuit. These are from the National Maritime Museum's new wing and I was overjoyed to see them!

When I was little and Dad took us to the NMM I remember two exhibits. Nelson's jacket with the bullet hole in it. And these biscuits - being a greedy child I remembered the biscuits. They actually have love letters written on them and are 200 years old. But child-me just wanted to eat them.

When hubby came to work at the Museum seven years ago I was most disappointed to find the biscuits nowhere to be found. But now with the new wing and new gallery open - there they are! Hoorah!

Incidentally I highly recommend visiting the new wing - it's AMAZING. There's a stunning art installation in the gallery downstairs that is NOT to be missed - truly stunning interactive experience that kids will love. And there are water features outside and a new cafe and it's all just fabulous. Well done National Maritime Museum! (and thanks for putting my biscuits back)

200 pics! Woo!

Anyway....today was the last Catford Netmum meetup at Rascals for a while. Well for me, certainly - from September I'll be child free during the day so won't be hanging around a fragrant soft play.

It was a great turn out and the kids had fun - though Baby Alice wasn't sure about her first experience in a ball pit!

I've loved organising the meet ups - and have met and got to know some fabulous women through it. I will continue to organise nights out and weekend picnics to make sure we stay in touch

After...Toby poked James in the eye with a stick (by accident) so poor Clare and James spent the afternoon in A&E.....kids.....argh!

This is a bit of a cheat as it isn't taken today but it sums up today quite nicely.

Since we altered Oscar's medication to a longer lasting one, one of the best benefits has been that the boys are playing so nicely together - Oscar isn't manic or winding Toby up as much.

They have been quite lovely today....

Sports Day! I couldn't be there for most of it as I was working but I caught the last race of space hoppers. This was the end when Oscar's team (the reds obviously) discovered they'd won the football scoring race.....

He's not the sportiest but Oz had scored one goal so was quite chuffed with himself...

Book club! And we went to the rather lovely North Pole in Greenwich (as Penny had a taste card it was 50% off)

Had the most delectable scallops to start, and then very pink lamb chump for main. Utter yumminess.

The puddings were disappointing and I didn't want one anyway so I ordered a calvados. Now I don't really like alcohol - especially not hard liquor.....but I've ALWAYS wanted to drink Brandy because I love swirling the glass around. It's so pretty and sophisticated.....

And I thought Calvados might taste more like apple juice than alcohol.

Erm....NO! It was so strong I could barely sip it. Luckily my friend Liz was happy to drink it for me after letting me play at swirling it round the glass......

Toby is very strong though - he can dangle unassisted for ages!

At People's Day (as well as sunburn) I got this airbrush tattoo of a fairy. For about 8 years I've had a yen to put a real tat here - also a fairy but smaller and also black and plain. MIGHT do it for my 40th.....not sure...this was a good test run and I liked it! I know it's not the easiest position to camouflage but I want her on my shoulder - just under my collarbone..

Whaddya think?

Yes I take my kids to McDonalds. I am unashamed. They love it. They get a toy with their dinner and they don't bug me for a while! The Kung Fu Panda toys are actually a bit fab - they still play with the ones we got for the last movie - sometimes Happy Meal toys suck but these ones are fab.

This is Po the panda as a baby with red things attached to his hands - you roll a giant dumpling down them to land it on a plate. I just like playing with Clare's camera! I did a whole load of McD McRos.....

It's been a bit of a manic week (and it's only Wednesday) so instead of being good and going swimming this morning, I treated myself to an indulgent lazy child free sesh in Bromley.

Breakfast bap + enormous coffee in Starbucks - I was the only person sat in the comfy seats upstairs and it was bliss (except for the strange music they were playing) and only 10 points for a really satisfying brekkie.

Then I mooched in BHS, strolled round M&S and got some shopping for Mum, bought another cheapy top in Primark - SO nice to be able to confidently browse in there as they have size 20's in everything and they FIT me! Feels like a huge reward for the weightloss....

Got Toby and had lunch with friends and then Toby shattered the bliss by having a MONSTER tantrum - he had a mini one at my friend's house and had a nosebleed - this one this afternoon made his eyes bloodshot. He just can't deal with frustration at the moment and explodes.....

Still - not enough to ruin my day. I'm off to Sapporo tonight with a friend. Fab.....

I didn't realise until I did a macro shot how BADLY I'd painted my nails today -in my defense I did it in a big hurry this morning. On Facebook I was invited to a Blue Nails for Autism Awareness event..... It might have been hokum but I happily painted them blue and told lots of people I'd done so today.

Note to self....take more time next time! I suck at manicures...

LOTS of reasons to have chosen the lovely starry bokeh over a rather ugly photo of me!

1. Happy Fourth of July
2. On Mondays I teach at the Royal Observatory, Greenwich, and it's full of stars. Obviously.
3. I'm feeling like a star cos I lost 5lbs at WW this week making my total 27.5lbs.
4. Clare (clogsilk) is an utter star cos she's lent me a camera so I can continue to PAD (she took this pic)

So 4 reasons on the 4th. Not bad.

I gave lovely husband a day off cos he'd given me lots so I was solo parenting.....we decided to go to the park and it started off fine - the boys were playing together so beautifully on the zip slide - Oz pushing Toby and helping him get on, Toby running alongside Oz as he zipped....

Then Oscar went to play on something else and all hell broke loose. Toby didn't want ME to push him. Didn't want to get off. There was a queue of kids waiting a turn so I made him get off.

He screamed at me "I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU" and threw the mother of tantrums. I timed him out and told him to calm down. 4 minutes later "I HATE YOU MUMMY" at full volume. I told him we'd go home if he shouted at me so rudely again. He did.

We went home.

Time spent in the park? 10 mins tops. Grrrrr

We went to a school summer fair today (not our school but one near). Both boys had a turn on the strongman stall where if you rang the bell with the hammer, you got to choose a prize.

And this is what they chose. I LOVE that they are so different. And I love that Oscar was certain he wanted the unicorn (her name is Magic he decided) despite the burly man on the stall asking if he was really sure?

I can't believe it - BOTH my cameras are broken - I noticed at Glee that my cyber-shot wouldn't zoom - kept asking me to turn it on and off again. I assumed it was because of the mad lighting but no - it's still doing it. It's under warranty so I have to send it back to Sony....

The Nikon has been broken for a while - despite clogsilk and I attempting to fix it. It will cost £100 to fix and I just don't really have it. BUT....after spending some of my shopping spree money on my glee ticket, I realised I have lots of lovely clothes and would rather pay for my camera to be fixed with the remaining (which still leaves me £40 to buy something else).....so I've got to post that off on Monday too....

So I'm camera-less! Which may make PAD a bit tricky....though Clare has offered to lend me her point and shoot which I'm going to be eternally grateful for...until then I'm using my crappy phone camera...
